Issue 114
At Research Outreach we strive to make leading research from around the globe accessible to all. This issue does just that. We feature some of the latest research discoveries encompassing a wide range of topics, from climate change to civil rights, drug delivery to gene therapy, materials science to social robots, and much, much more!
The use of psychedelics as a tool to aid psychotherapy is controversial. However, some psychiatrists think that psychedelics could be used effectively and safely to enhance the treatment of patients with a range of mental health issues. We learn more from consultant psychiatrist Ben Sessa, who has been conducting research and gathering evidence in this area since the early 2000s.
Research Outreach also spoke with Dr Alison Simmons, Senior Research and Policy Manager at the Medical Research Foundation, to find out more about the charity and its fellows, its current research priorities, and response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We hope you enjoy learning about the latest research in this issue as much as we did.
